Summary
This route navigates through the heart of Karwendel, offering extremely beautiful views along the way. The climb is nice and steady, has a couple of steep sections, but it is completely cyclable. Only the very last part can be challenging. The trail down combines a lot of very narrow, exposed switchback turns with gnarly rock gardens and roots. All of this is spiced with an extreme steepness and the permanent presence of a cliff starting just at the edge of the narrow path. This is the ideal trail for those looking for an adrenaline rush who are very comfortable with their endo skills.
Risssattel-Trail Overview
Risssattel-Vorderriss: 620 m of vertical descent on a sustained S3 trail. The difficulty of the trail is evident since the very beginning of it – it is a real switchback paradise. It can be done on wet conditions, but its not recommended due to its exposure.
The beginning of the trail: 630 meters of vertical descent in just 1,3 kilometers.. Martin is getting ready for the battle.. Marc dealing with an extremely steep (and exposed) section.
